With a Blower Door mounted in the front door and all windows and doors closed, you can create a negative pressure in the building. You can then easily document where cold air is seeping through the building shell, using a thermal imaging camera. <\/p>\n

To illustrate the method, you can look at the pictures below. They are regular pictures of an attic hatch and a corner of a room, and IR pictures of the same places with a Blower Door running. It becomes particularly clear where cold air has the opportunity to get in through leaks in the construction. The testo 860i thermal imaging camera allows you to include this type of image in your report as it takes a regular image with an integrated digital camera at the same time as the IR image. <\/p>\n
