The testo 162 IAQ is an easy-to-use WiFi data logger that measures four air quality parameters simultaneously. It is part of the testo 162 connected logger series, a complete measurement system for sensitive indoor environments. The series is designed for maximum flexibility: choose between loggers with built-in sensors or different types of external sensors and create a solution that gives you a full overview of the climate in your premises.

With testo Smart Connect, climate monitoring is both convenient and safe. All you need to do is create an account, connect your WiFi data loggers and set alarm limits – then the system works fully automatically. In case of anomalies, you will be immediately alerted via push notification from the testo Smart app or via email. All measurement data is continuously transferred from all your connected loggers to the cloud and can be followed in real time via mobile, tablet or computer. The THC600B is ideal for measuring air quality in a variety of environments, such as classrooms, training rooms, conference rooms and similar spaces. The sensor measures carbon dioxide, air pressure, temperature and humidity.

The main benefits

No gateway or base station needed
All boxes in the new Celsicom generation have a direct, secure transfer of data to the cloud without the need for a base station or gateway. The data traffic is sent on a licensed frequency exclusively for NB-IoT on Telia’s existing mobile network. Coverage is excellent and the risk of interference is virtually zero.

Easy to get started
Once you have scanned the QR code on your first box, a window opens on your mobile phone where you can create a new cloud service account. After filling in your data and naming the box, you can quickly get started and instantly see the values from the box on your phone, tablet or computer. If you already have an account, log in and name the new box.

Celsiview cloud service
All measured values ​​are automatically stored in the Celsiview cloud service. The price for cloud storage is 25 SEK per month per logger. This also includes the cost of all data traffic. An unlimited amount of data is stored in the cloud as long as the subscription continues.

Backup memory
In addition to sending all measurement values to the cloud service, they are also saved in a backup memory in each box. However, if there is a disruption, all measurement data is sent at the next transmission time.

The CA 1510 then calculates the air quality based on either the CO2 level or a combination of the three quantities. According to the National Board of Health and Welfare, the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning, a carbon dioxide level of 1000 ppm is a guideline that should not be exceeded in premises with sedentary work. Outdoors a typical level is around 400 ppm and indoors in well ventilated areas 600…800 ppm.

Because it is easy to use, it can be used both as a portable or fixed instrument mounted on a wall. The logging interval is selected between 15 s and 2 h and the 8 MB memory is sufficient for 1 million measurements. With a 10-minute logging interval, the long battery life lasts up to 45 days of logging. It is also possible to lock the instrument during logging, in which case no measurement values are shown on the display.

With Bluetooth communication, either a PC or an Android device can be connected to configure, download measurement data and generate reports. The PC software is in Swedish.
